30 Day Lolita Challenge Day 11! One day of my life in pictures ~

Hello, hello~! Day 11 of the lolita challenge asks me to show one day of my lolita life in pictures~

The only thing is, it's way too hot to wear lolita right now xD. I'm wearing a more fairy kei coordinate, but I think that should be fine ;u;! Most of the pictures are taken by either me or my little brother, some my step dad took. I didn't take pictures of EVERYTHING anyways, This is what a typical day is like for me~

★ Day 11 - One day of your lolita life in pictures ★

First off, I wake up and get ready for the day! Lately, I've mostly been at home in my pajamas, but today I got dressed because I had plans to meet with caylee again~!

I usually am lazy in my room for a while after I wake up, and play with my stuffed animals or just lay around listening to music~

It's always unicorn time guys ;v;

After that I have breakfast (no picture, sorry ;^;) and it's to the computer I go!

I wish I could fit it in my room xD it would look much prettier ;u;

After a while, I get bored of staring at my computer screen and do something else...like mess with my little brother ;v;

I might draw as well, but I've filled my sketchbook so no pictures of that xD

I usually spend the day going between those activities and eating, but today I had plans to go to the mall with caylee, so we went! She had to leave early, but we still managed to have a lot of fun and look at lots of cute things! Someone asked me what character I was cosplaying, which was weird today because I feel like I'm in normal clothes haha xD. Unfortunately, I didn't have a camera to take pictures while I was in the mall, but I ended up buying a cute letter set and Kirarin Revolution pencil (did anyone else love kirarin revolution ;u;?)

(Yikes terrible quality. Sorry about that!)

After I left the mall, I went with my family to the supermarket ~

After the store, we had to run to fedex to fax something, no pictures of inside, we pretty much just waited around haha.

After that, we walked over to Joannes which happens to be next door and I found this beauty *v*

This unicorn fabric is amazing! Not only are there unicorns and shooting stars, but it's super glittery! I was only able to get a half yard today, but I plan on going back and getting enough to make a JSK and bloomers with! I'll probably make bows and cut outs with the piece I have now.

After all of this, I retire to my office (hehehehe) and spend too much time on the internet.

Usually after I get offline I watch TV for a while and then sleep xD

So that's both my typical lazy day and my busy day xD! Thank you for looking ~!

Update and Nails for July 2011 ☆ミ!

Sorry for being gone so long! I've basically not been doing much anything at all lately, other than being at home and occasionally going out with family and friends~! On Thursday, I met up with Caylee from ♥ like candy floss and we went out to shop a bit, eat pho and attend a free SunO party! SunO is a shop that sells flavored shaved ice with lots of yummy toppings! I'm not sure how many locations there are, but I think they're only in Georgia. If you're interested in seeing some pictures, you can check out Caylee's post about it here~ I still need to get a proper camera to take pictures xD

Anyways, I want to share for you my nail art for July! I know it's not July yet, but I was ready to change them~ plus they were chipping a lot and that never looks good xD

Do you guys like them? Looking at them, I think I would rather have put black dots on my ring finger and white on my index finger, but oh well! I really like the way the stripes look, they sort of remind me of candy! I keep thinking of the song Fantasy Candy by Aira Mitsuki when I look at them xD!

More sewing! Another Spank! inspired shirt ~

Hello everyone~! Happy Father's Day!

The day yesterday before I managed to get my hands on more sewing machine needles (did I mention that I broke all of mine xD?) so last night I decided to actually get sewing again! Earlier in my summer goals post, I mentioned how much I wanted to make a shirt similar to this spank! one~

So last night I did just that!

I think it took me around five hours to make, and I ended up frustrating myself a lot (I keep sewing at night for some reason even though I know I won't make as many dumb mistakes if I sew while I'm still 100% awake xD) but I really like the way it came out! I took that picture before I ironed it though (for some reason ;~;) so it's looks a bit better now.

And here it is worn!

This is only the third top that I've made for myself, the other two being cutsews so so they stretch and are easier to fit xD. I used to be downright scared of wasting fabric on making shirts, so the fact that lately I've been able to make them (though not as well or easily as I would have liked to) really makes me feel like I'm improving!

So what do you guys think? Do you like it?

Playing with make up ~ Jem and the Holograms inspired look!

Hello everyone! Yesterday I went out and had a ball with Caylee of ♥ Like Candy Floss at Six Flags Over Georgia, so today I decided to chill at home and do nothing all day. Well, I ended up getting bored of doing nothing all day and decided to have a go at a Jem and the Holograms inspired make up look! In case you haven't heard of Jem, it's a T.V series that was played in the US from 1985 to 1988 about a girl, Jerrica Benton, who's father left her a super powerful computer named Synergy that has the power to create holograms. Jerrica uses Synergy to transform into Jem, and her friends Kimber, Aja, and Shana join her in their band as "the Holograms". Now it's playing again on the T.V channel "The Hub" so if you get that channel seriously check it out!

It's a really fun series, and I hope to finish it by the end of summer! Here's the theme song so you can see how super 80s this show is!

As soon as I started watching the series I couldn't stop thinking about how fun it would be to wear make up like that! So I decided to try it while I was at home with nothing better to do ~

Here's what I came up with ~

30 Day Lolita Challenge Day 9 and 10 & June 2011 Nails ☆ミ！

Hey, everyone! I'm finally going to pick up the lolita challenge again with day 9 ;u;.

★Day 9: 10 things you would never do in lolita★

Thinking about it, there's not much that I wouldn't do in lolita! Only a few obvious things that would ruin my clothes or where it would be completely inappropriate.

☆ One ~ Participating in any sporting event. I'm not big on sports, I actually dislike playing most sports with a passion xD Me playing any sport in itself is a bit outlandish, and I could never imagine doing so in lolita!

☆ Two ~ Swimming. It's a big obvious but why would I ever jump into a pool in lolita? xD I wouldn't want to swim in any other clothes either, that's what bathing suits are for! Ironically we have a lolita river tubing meet up coming up, thought I'm pretty sure most of us will show up with our swim suits handy.

☆ Three ~ Gardening. That's just a mess waiting to happen.

☆ Four ~ Exploring. I mean like running through the jungle type exploring. I can understand going into woods or abandoned buildings for photo shoots, but swinging on vines tarzan-style and tree climbing is probably not a good idea.

☆ Five ~ Taking care of animals. I don't mean hanging around with your pet, but if you're working at an animal shelter or anything like that, it's probably not a bright idea xD.

☆ Six ~ Going to an amusement park. If I'm walking around in a place where food is thrown everywhere and grease from riding roller coasters is easily transferred onto your clothes,wearing lolita would probably not be my first priority :P.

☆ Seven ~ Traveling. You and I both know that having one or two waistbands gets extremely uncomfortable after awhile, especially when you're sitting down. No matter how I look at it, wearing a full lolita coordinate while traveling is a bad idea.

☆ Eight ~ Intense cleaning. Dirt, dust, and grime along with pretty, expensive clothes? Nahhh.

☆ Nine ~ Going to a funeral. I just don't think it's very appropriate.

☆ Ten ~ Meeting with people who are uncomfortable with you in lolita. If they really don't like it, the least you could do would be not to wear it around them.

So that's that! 10 things I would never do in lolita ;u;.

★Day 10: Whats in your bag?★

Instead of taking tons of pictures, I decided to do a video of all the things in my bag. It's not all super cutesy stuff, but please enjoy anyways!

And last but not least, Here are my nails for June! I really like the blue sparkly polish (It looks more minty, actually). I was trying to draw stars, but they came out super messy xD Oh well! What do you guys think? Know any surefire ways to get perfect stars?

Do you guys like it? I've been prety obsessed with AP's Dream Sky print since the previews were up, and I really wanted to draw it! It was my first time drawing a print. All done in photoshop 7 with a mouse. I had a lot of fun drawing and coloring this, so I hope you all like it! ;u;!

Lolita Outfit Post Time! ~ Tomorrow Is International Lolita Day ~!

For those who don't know, ILD is a semianual holiday celebrated by lolitas! theres no set way to celebrate it, but meetups are usually planned and people are urged to dress up. I'm excited for it! Last ILD, I went out with a few of my friends and hung out around the Mall of Georgia. This time, I think I'll be going to a meetup, so I want to wish you all a happy lolita day a little bit early! If I'm not able to go to the meetup, I'm hoping I can use up some of my extra fabric laying around to make a few cute decorations for my computer desk. I think lolita day is a perfect day to pamper yourself by doing whatever you would like to! What are you guys planning on doing this ILD ;u;?

I also wanted to share my lolita outfits from..I think...March (wow, I've been lazy about this!) with you all! So there are quite a few below xD. Enjoy!
