Hiya everyone!
I'm back from Savannah, but my vacation overview post will come later on (so will my April nails! I chipped them and need to fix before I take photos haha;;) . I will tell you that, while I was in Savannah, I went to a really adorable fabric shop called Fabrika and bought myself a yard of polka-dotted (black dots on white) jersey fabric! I figured I would use it for a cutsew, which is a pretty big sewing step for me! I haven't ever made any shirts that I liked on me x~x. I even had to use a T-shirt that fit well to draft my pattern. I don't get how tops work yet lol! I think I did a good job with this one though~! I guess I've been more and more inspired by Spank!'s items recently, since this is what I came up with:
After I had the main parts cut out, it was really easy to finish! Just had to make the heart, ruffle, attach the front and back of the cutsew, and then make and add in the sleeves! The whole thing took me about three hours, but I had fun watching Mean girls and Tangled while I sewed~ x3!
Here's a worn picture~
I'm actually really satisfied with the way it fits! I made the sleeves to be kind of like Creamy Mami's hahaha xD I dunno how flattering they are on me, but I like them~! What do you all think? :D?
Thanks for looking~☆ミ!
