Updates and ☆30 Day Fairy Kei Challenge Days 2 and 4☆!

Hello hello everyone! I just got home from visiting with my grandmother in Florida today and have a few things to share, but nothing too big, so I'll also balance this post out with some challenge days ;u;!

First, I hope everyone who celebrated had a great Thanksgiving holiday, and perhaps caught some great Black Friday deals? I've never been shopping on black friday, but we did stop by a wal mart on Thursday night to pick up some water, and it was already packed with people picking out their treasures ;A;! It seems scary haha xD. Anyways, I wanted to share with you my outfit on thanksgiving

Moving on to the 30 Day Fairy Kei Challenge~!

☆ Day two: Why and how you got into Fairy-Kei.

I'm thinking this was in 2008, and then I actually started dressing in fairy kei in 2009, but one of my friends, Rayven, got into it for a while. We were livejournal friends at the time, and I noticed she was following a feed (I'm remembering it was called "FuckyeahSpank!" or something very similar, but I'm not sure at this point;;) so I decided to follow it as well, because she had talked to me about fairy kei and shown me pict6ures and even before then I had seen it here and there. From following that feed I decided I really wanted to dress in fairy kei casually instead of wearing lolita all the time. I didn't really get to wardrobe building until winter 2009 though. The reason I got into it was because I found it unbearably cute, though, and I really liked the aesthetic!

Two ☆ No surprise here, another Spank! shopgirl, Eric! But can you blame me? These chicks have the greatest style!

Five ☆ I hate to only pick one of the two, so Yuka and Vani from 6%DOKIDOKI! These two are unbelievably adorable, and though I tent to stick to more subdued pastels, how can I not admire their super pop 6% style? Also, I adore this photoset of them *u*

Thanks for looking you guys! I should be back to posting regularly sometime after finals, but schools certainly killing me so I won't have a whole lot of interesting content until after then. I am, however working on items for that shop I'll soon be opening, so don't think I've abandoned that idea just yet!

Kyary Pamyu Pamyu ~ Taking over the world?

I would like to think so!

I'm sure many of you have heard of her by now, A high-school aged fashion blogger/model who recently (just two days ago) released her first album, "Moshi Moshi Harajuku", featuring her already hit song PONPONON. Ever since PONPONPON came out, I've been seeing her everywhere! When I first heard of her through tumblr, I had seen a few of her famous hengao (funny faces) around and was excited to know she was going to be produced by Yasutaka Nakata (producer of Capsule, Perfume, Meg, and a few others). I'm not exaggerating when I tell you that a good 70% if not more of my iTunes library consists of songs he produced xD. There was a 45 second preview of the song PONPONPON released when I heard of her, and when I listened to it, I have to be honest, it didn't grab me completely. However~ maybe a week or so later, 30 seconds of the music video was posted to youtube. I have to say, the music video can grab just about anyone's attention xD. Within hours I had the silly ponponwayway dance memorized and the song was impossible to get out of my head! Not that I'm complaining about it x) ~

For those who haven't seen it before, and those who like to stop everything to watch it whenever you see it posted (I can't be the only one right??), here you go~

Definitely a lot to take in, a lot to be confused by, and a lot to love! I'd be lying to you if I said I haven't seen it at least 50 times by now xD

Anyways, this is definitely the kind of song that grows on you. After familiarizing myself with the lyrics (click here for a lots of hengao and a great translation!), I couldn't help but start to obsess ;u;. I've found it stuck in my head more and more, and so ~ I decided to go ahead and record a song cover of it for fun xD. I mean, why not? I've always wanted to do one haha. I'll warn you before you click that I'm sounding pretty derptastic at parts. But it was fun! I think I might even do more hahaha.

The rest of the album is pretty great too! I really enjoy her image, music, and style, so I plan on supporting her!

30 Day Lolita Challenge Days Six and Seven!

Hello~! Since blogger was down the other day, I'll be playing catch up with both day six and seven!

★Day 6 - 10 things you can't live without in lolita★

☆ One ~ Bloomers! I have become addicted to bloomers xD. I wear them under every skirt all the time when I'm out - lolita or not! I wear my bloomers around the house as well! I only have two pairs though, so I need to make more for myself soon.

☆ Two ~ Petticoats~! You and I both know it's just not as lolita without them!

☆ Three ~ Support. Without my family and friends support in wearing lolita, I wouldn't be able to. I really admire all of the lolis out there that wear it despite their parents wishes or the support of their families.

☆ Four ~ Detachable pieces. I love detachable sleeves! I can wear a blouse in all weather because of them ;A;. Bows that I can take off and pin everywhere are always cool too ;u;! Also, detachable waist ties can be used for making matching accessories!

☆ Five ~ Shoes. Lolita shoes are just so cute and perfect! I wish I had more than I do, I suppose I'll just have to improve my shoe collection over time.

☆ Six ~ Waist ties on JSKs. I don't really need skirt waist ties since I like blouses that have ruffles or detail on the bottom, so I don't tuck in my blouses. JSKs don't always fit me though, and sometimes they're a bit big. I'm glad that I can use the waist ties to get them to fit me better ;u;!

☆ Seven ~ Money LOL. Without money you probably have as much lolita as I do (not much lol). I really need to find a way to make some money in the near future ;~;. Hopefully I can find a job over summer, but most places only hire at 16 or 18 x~x.

☆ Eight ~ Accessories! Accessories really tie your coord together ;u;. I'm not one whos big on jewelry, but I really like the look of multiple wrist cuffs and plastic jewlery~. Hopefully I can order some from chocomint in the near future~

☆ Nine ~ Layers. I really love to layer xD. You can find so many ways to layer on more and more in lolita, so it's a great winter style! In summer, you can always go blouseless or sockless etc. to keep cool too ;u;.

☆ Ten ~ Inspiration! Without all of the beautiful, inspirational lolitas around, it would be much harder to be one! That also brings me to~~

★Day 7 - 10 people who inspire your lolita style★

☆ One~ Julie Doll! I love her style to bits and pieces, both her Lolita and non lolita styles inspire me *A*.

☆ Two ~ Kyandi! I love her casual cute style *A*! She's also a huge inspiration for me with Fairy Kei!

☆ Three ~ Mochi of Kawaiigoods! I love her style, coordinates, and cute accessories!

☆ Four ~ Shelby Cloud. Her coordinates are all so so so adorable! I also really love her youtube videos!

☆ Five ~ Wunderfluff. Not only are her outfits the cutest thing ever, but shes super sweet and totally awesome ;A;!

☆ Six ~ Rinrin! She's just so cute and I love love love her style *A*!

☆ Nine ~ Kasumi Pai! Okay, this girl is adorable and I love her outfits so so so so so much. ;A;. Just look at this cuteness!

☆ Ten ~ Whipcreambunn! I love her so much as well! She looks adorable to the max in sweet and absolutely stunning in gothic ;A;.
